I am Christopher Elawa, a product designer and cultural worker currently living in Oakland, California.

As the product of multiple cultural exchanges, my work seeks to empower communities, both near and far, to build culture and drive social progress.
I am currently a product designer on the Social Impact team team at Facebook, where I help build and grow fundraising products that empower people to raise billions of dollars for causes important to them.

Some of my favourite projects have been the Racial Justice Fundraising Campaign and #GivingTuesday.

In addition to designing products for social progress, I believe in the importance of empowering others to do the same. At Facebook I help lead the Black@Design employee resource group and I have volunteered in design and technology education with Inneract Project &  Black Boys Code .
